How to Stimulate your Happy Hormones
Inner positivity is a prerequisite of bringing good out of you. All positivity to us connects to our spiritual side therefore one cannot shine on the outside without the inner good. Hormone knowledge will further assist you in your development.
1. Serotonin
Serotonin is produced by the body's nerve cells. It is made up of chemical reactions that include a protein called tryptophan.
Serotonin has many different functions. It helps control muscles, how you move, and affects appetite and the way your intestines work. It also helps your blood to detoxify, heal wounds, and plays a role in the health of your bones. It also has important functions in the brain. Serotonin is responsible for your mood and ultimately happiness as well. It is responsible for our sleep cycles, our ability to think, maintains our mood, and controls our sexual desire. Serotonin is found throughout the body, but especially in the gut, brain and blood. It helps your body function properly by sending messages between nerve cells. We can help raise our serotonin by getting more exposure to the sun and doing more physical activity and exercise. It can also be supplemented with foods rich in tryptophan such as nuts, eggs, cheese, red meat, turkey, salmon and pineapple.
To stimulate serotonin in your body
- Get some sunlight
- Go for a walk
- Practice meditation
- Do cardio (swimming)
2. Dopamine
Dopamine is a chemical released in the brain that is responsible for making us feel good. Having the right amount of dopamine in our bodies is important for our body and mind. Dopamine is responsible for making us feel happy, keeps us satisfied and keeps us motivated. When we do something good, we feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. . This feeling is mainly due to an increase in our dopamine levels. It could be due to various things like making money, having sex, eating delicious food. Dopamine also plays a role in regulating our memory, stabilizing our sleep, studying and concentrating. Low dopamine levels or low dopamine deficiency can primarily lead to depression, low levels of zeal in life, low moods and can affect our daily lives. Dopamine deficiency also leads to many mental illnesses. We can increase our dopamine levels naturally by eating a healthy, diet rich in L-Tyrosine (a protein needed to make dopamine). These include avocados, almonds, chicken, bananas, beef and eggs. Turmeric, vitamin D, magnesium and omega-3 supplements. Other functions are also known to help in boosting the dopamine levels in our system. These include exercise, meditation, getting a massage and most importantly a good night's sleep. Another invisible way to increase this chemical in our bodies is to think about all the good things and our successes in life.

3. Endorphins
Endorphins are chemicals in our body that are produced when our body is in pain or under some stress. They are used to help relieve pain and reduce stress. Endorphins are responsible for giving them a sense of well-being. There are more than 20 types of endorphins in our body. Beta endorphins are well known and widely studied endorphins. Pain relief due to beta endorphin is known to be higher than morphine. Challenging exercise or exercise can detoxify our body, that is when our brain begins to release endorphins and those endorphins are used to release our body from the pain caused by strenuous exercise.
Endorphins can be increased by regular exercise, spicy foods and massage.

- Watch a comedy film or video
